back from holiday with a game based in a sport known to all, tennis.
game based on the origin hard Noren, Asturias . It can be played between two players (normal match) or four (out of doubles). At the moment I explain the game for two players and then comment and the doubles match.
The gameplay is similar to a tennis match, the match is divided into sets and sets in games. I shall not enlarge further with this, if you do not know how a game of tennis you can watch it here .
Well the game itself, we take four glasses and put them as the hard (needless to say that apart from these vessels, each player must have one or more vessels to go drinking when you touch). The player starts getting caught and flip the coin representing the serve of the match. Here you can spend three things:
- The player gets center. This is an ace, the player has 15 points and continue the game.
- The player gets anywhere. This is a foul. The player must roll again but with his left hand. If it fails the second roll will be ready for the opponent and is followed with the game if it gets into a pot or in the center indicated it occurs when this happens.
- If the player gets into a cup the player has drawn well but has not been an ace, the ball is in the field of rival and becomes that player's turn.
After the break, and once the ball remains in play (not done double fault or ace) both players take turns pulling when the ball is in your court. On his turn each player flips the coin and it may take three things:
- The player gets anywhere. The player has failed to hit the ball or sends it out (as you wish). Point to the rival and continues with the party.
- The player gets into the center. The player has made a masterstroke that the opponent can not counter. Point for the player who has been released.
- The player gets into a glass. The player sends the ball into the opponent's field and it will turn (the rival strip).
With that already have enough to play following the development of a real tennis match, there is only one thing: drinking. This occurs at the end of each game. When one of those games end the losing player has to drink double the points gap between him and the winning player (eg if I left blank I drink 8 (4x2)).
Well, that's it, you play the number of sets that is preferred and no more mystery thing. As was mentioned at the beginning you can play a doubles match. This is played exactly like a singles match except that players must be taking turns to hit the ball. Example: Player 1 and 2 play against 3 and 4. Player 1 draws and 3 respond to the coup, after which it is the turn player 2 hitting the ball and the player passes the turn 4. After the coup Player 4 is again the turn of player 1 and so on.
's it, this is the game this week, says that in the town of NoreƱa championships are held this game so you know if you pass by. Next week another game, until next time!
